Message from the Ambassador to Jordanian Community in United States

Distinguished Members of the Jordanian Community,
As I start my tenure as Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the United States, I wish to take this occasion to extend to you all my warmest greetings.  One of the Embassy’s main pillars is based upon our successful collaboration and partnership.
Last year, upon the instruction of His Majesty King Abdullah II, Jordan held a conference that brought together Jordanian expatriates from around the world under the slogan “Jordan Brings Us Together” designed to strengthen ties between Jordanian expatriates and their homeland.  In the coming years, I look forward to working with you as we strive together to advance this vision.
The relationship between Jordan and the United States is an important one, founded on common values and principles, which has lasted for over six decades.   Since the establishment of this Embassy in 1949, it has stood tall to signify and demonstrate the strong diplomatic and strategic relationship between the two countries. I hope that during my time here we can explore the tremendous opportunities available as we strengthen and deepen this very important partnership and to protect the rights and interests of the Jordanian Community here.
Please know that the Embassy doors will always be open to all Jordanians in the U.S. and to all those who are interested in Jordan.
Today, there are tools to keep you connected with the Embassy and with your homeland.  I encourage you all to explore and utilize them.  The Embassy’s Facebook page, website, and twitter handle contain regular news updates and the latest official press releases.  In addition, the Embassy launched a weekly electronic newsletter containing Jordan’s top news in politics, economy, culture, tourism, and sports.  If you have not signed up, please do so on the Embassy website.
Finally, on behalf of my colleagues at the Embassy of Jordan in Washington DC, I extend to you my warmest regards and look forward to meeting you all.
