Ambassador welcomes team of 5 Jordanian participants at TechWomen 17

Washington, D.C - Ambassador Dina Kawar welcomed the team of 5 Jordanian women who took home the first prize for the best technological project at TechWomen 17, the biggest gathering for women in technology in the world, held in Silicon Valley. The discussion revolved around Jordan’s leading regional role in entrepreneurship and in the efforts to support the next generation of female leaders in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Ambassador Kawar expressed pride in their accomplishments and wished them the best of luck in their future endeavors.
The TechWomen Forum is a State Department Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs initiative aimed at connecting and supporting the next generation of women leaders in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) from Africa, Central and South Asia, and the Middle East.
