Embassy of Jordan Hosts Group of Young Scholars From The Congressional Youth Leadership Council (GYLC)

Washington, D.C. (August 1, 2012) -- The Embassy of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in Washington D.C. hosted a group of young scholars from the Congressional Youth Leadership Council (GYLC).

The group consisted of students from countries around the world who came to the United States for 12 days for the opportunity to explore global leadership and build critical skills through interaction with today’s world leaders.

The group was briefed by First Secretary Adi Khair on the role of Jordan in the international community, the role and objectives of the Embassy and its staff, the role of the diplomatic community and how to implement practical diplomatic and networking skills.

GYLC is a premiere nonpartisan organization that focuses on leadership development for outstanding high school juniors and seniors.
