Brigadier Gneral Ziad Hamdi Majali was commissioned as a Second
Lieutenant of the Royal Jordanian Air Force/Air Defense in 1976.
Since his commissioning, he has served in a variety of commands
and staff assignments in the Jordan Armed Forces. He has served
as Platoon Commander and an Air Defense Unit Commander, S3, at
the Central Air Defense Group, an Evaluation Team Chief in the
Air Defense Branch, and a Chief Instructor at the Air Defense
School. Brigadier Majali later became the Training and
Operations Brach Chief at the Air Defense Directorate and then
commanded the Second Air Defense Group. Next, he became the
Protocol Director of the Royal Jordanian Air Force Headquarters
and then commanded the central Air Defense Group and served as
the Director of the Administration and Manpower ant the Royal
Jordanian Air Force Headquarters. He moved to the Army and
Served as Procurement Director and then as the Military Consumer
Establishment Director from 2005-2007.
Brigadier General Ziad Hamdi Majali is a graduate from
the Royal Military Academy in Jordan. He also earned a
Bachelor’s Degree of Military Sciences from Mu’taa University in
Jordan and a Masters Degree of Military and Management Science
from Nasir Academy in Egypt. Brigadier Majali’s military
education includes all the specialized Air Defense Courses in
Jordan and basic and advanced Hawk Staff courses in the United
States. He has also attended the Command and General Staff
Courses (CGSC) at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas and the Defense
Resource Management Course (DRMC) at the U.S. Naval Base in
Monterey, California.
He has been awarded the following medals and awards:
Medal of Training Competence, Medal of Loyal Service, Medal of
Leadership Competence, Decoration of Independence, Decoration of
Military Merit, Decoration of Silver Jubilee, and Decoration of
GLORIASS.
BG Majali is married and has three sons and two
daughters. He enjoys reading, playing soccer, swimming, and
traveling.
