Conservation society releases flock of Chukar partridges

The Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature (RSCN) on Monday released a number of Chukar partridge birds at the Dana Biosphere Reserve.
The partridges were released so they could repopulate their natural habitat and "allow hunters to practice their hobby within the confines of the law", according to Abdul Razzaq Hmoud, who heads the RSCN’s conservation and hunting regulation unit.
Hmoud said that, prior to releasing birds, the RSCN inspects them to ensure their safety, according to an RSCN statement.
