Deputizing for King, tourism minister attends Bethlehem Christmas Midnight Mass

Bethlehem, Dec. 25 (Petra)-- Deputizing for His Majesty King Abdullah II, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Lina Enab, attended Midnight Mass held at the Church of the Nativity in the occupied West Bank city of Bethlehem.

During the mass attended by Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas, Enab conveyed the greetings of His Majesty and Jordanians to Christians on this occasion.

She said that Jerusalem is a Palestinian Arab city under the Hashemite custodianship, reiterating Jordan's rejection of the U.S. decision over Jerusalem and stressing Jordan's full support to the Palestinians.

The Palestinian president voiced appreciation of Jordan's stances, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, to support the Palestinians and defend their legitimate rights to establish an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
