FM affirms Jordan's support to Iraq's stability

AMMAN -- Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Safadi discussed with the United Nations secretary general’s representative in Iraq, Jan Kubis, the importance of launching a political process in Iraq that leads to national reconciliation with the participation of all components of the Iraqi society.
During the meeting, Safadi stressed Jordan's support to efforts that aim at achieving security and stability in Iraq.
Safadi also discussed with the UN official, cooperation between Jordan and the UN, as well as the need for continued coordination and efforts to achieve stability in Iraq in the post Daesh era.
Kubis highlighted the importance of Jordan's pivotal role, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, in dealing with issues of the region as well as challenges facing it to help bring about peace and stability in Iraq and the region.
