Jordanian Economic Delegation Visits Washington, D.C.

Jordan’s Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, H.E. Nasser Shraideh, headed a Jordanian economic ministerial delegation on an official working visit to Washington D.C., which includes Minister of Finance, H.E. Minister Mohammad Alississ. The visit comes on the heels of His Majesty King Abdullah II's historic visit to Washington in July of this year, and aims to explore areas of economic cooperation with the U.S.

The ministerial delegation will hold talks with several administration officials and representatives of major public and private organizations. Among them are Congressional, State Department, Treasury Department, and USAID representatives, the President and Directors of the World Bank Group (WBG) as well as Executives from the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The delegation has also scheduled meetings with heads of major international financial institutions, business leaders, and investors.

The meetings will preview the Jordanian government's recently unveiled economic priorities program (2021-2023), as well as the United States’ portfolio of economic aid and assistance to Jordan over the next phase of planning.
