Jordan's partakes in San Francisco food show

Amman, Jan. 14 (Petra) ÜÜÜÜÜ Six national companies are taking part in the Winter Fancy Food Show in San Francisco, which provides an opportunity to showcase thousands of new products, industry top networking and feedback from clients and hear from innovators and distributers on the future of the food industry.
"The Jordan Exporters Association (JEA) oversaw the participation of the local companies specialized in Arab confectionary, grains, legumes and spices as part of efforts to promote domestic industry", according to a statement by JEA President Omar Abu Wishah.
He noted that JEA would sustain services to Jordanian industrialists in order to find a foothold to their products in export markets, a move that will generate more job opportunities in the Kingdom.
"The U.S. market is one of the strongest in terms of purchasing capacity", Abu Wishah said, and added Jordan's participation in the food expo is a "pretty good chance to attract buyers tapping into the free trade agreement binding the two countries".
Jordanian Exporters Association Vice President Ahmad Al-Khudari, who heads the participating delegation, has opened the Kingdom's pavilion in the food platform, which he said attracted a significant number of visitors and traders.
The three-day fair, Al-Khudari added, is a key trade platform to showcase Jordanian food products and is an opportunity to communicate with experts from international food production companies.
Designed to promote business growth in the specialty food industry, the food show will bring together 1,400 industry professionals representing 30 countries, as well as the West Coast's large purchasers.
