King meets US President
WASHINGTON -- His Majesty King Abdullah II on Thursday met with US President Donald Trump.
The two leaders underlined the importance of boosting the strategic ties between the two countries and working together to fight terrorism.
King Abdullah and Trump saw eye-to-eye on the importance of providing security and safety to Syrian people, and to breathe life into the peace process between the Palestinians and Israelis.
The King and the US president agreed to hold a summit meeting in the near future, during the King's next visit to the US.
The meeting was attended by the minister of foreign and expatriate affairs, the director of the King's office and the Jordanian ambassador to Washington.
