Third forum of specialized Arab federations kicks off in Amman

The 3rd forum of specialized Arab federations has kicked off here with participation of pan-Arab action stakeholders and the Arab League's relevant bodies.

Over two days, the forum will discuss the current procedures and arrangements for holding a conference to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) as an engine for comprehensive economic development in the Arab region and to display the federations' successful models, and projects.

During the inaugural session, Director of Arab Organizations and Unions in the Arab League, said: "The forum comes within the framework of developments in the Arab region، which have imposed a new reality and imposed great challenges that require all joint Arab action institutions to develop their programs and objectives to cope with them and activate their mechanisms, to positively interact with them."

The forum's dialogues will focus on the role of the specialized Arab federations in achieving the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals in the Arab region, as they need working in "a spirit of partnership" that brings together governments, organizations, unions and civil society institutions, the League's official announced.
